Healthy Living
Launches the
Healthy Living Centre
On Friday 5th December at 6.00pm, local Labour T.D. Jack Wall
will officially launch the ‘Healthy Living Centre’.
54 Leinster Street, Athy, Co. Kildare.
Kevin Connolly, a local entrepreneur is expanding his health shop business
and opening the ‘Healthy Living Centre’. Kevin opened ‘Healthy
Living’ in 2006, along with ‘good food and natural remedies’ there has
always been a wide range of alternative therapies on offer.
In the autumn of this year Kevin had an opportunity to expand his business
and added 4 brand new therapy rooms and created a Yoga/Pilates
studio above the existing shop. Yoga, Pilates and Meditation classes
have been on-going since September and are proving very popular.
There is a wide range of therapies available – massage,
aromatherapy, sports massage, reflexology, amastu, allergy testing,
homeopathy, energy healing, life coach, counselling and hypnotherapy.
The launch will take place in the yoga studio at 6.oopm on Friday 5th
December,
following the launch there will be a Winter Reception with Mulled wine and
Mince pies.
On Saturday 6th December the Healthy Living Centre is hosting
an Open Day
from
12.00pm – 5.00pm.
Mini therapies will be available (massage, reflexology and energy healing)
and therapists will be on hand for a chat.

ATHY TRIATHLON
WELCOME TO THE FASTEST
TRI CIRCUIT ON THE CALENDAR
On Saturday 30th May
2009, Athy Co. Kildare will welcome triathletes from all over Ireland and
beyond to compete in it's third TriATHY - a FUN yet competitive triathlon event
to be held on and in the vicinity of the River Barrow.

online registrations for individual entrants.

The River
Barrow is Ireland's second longest river, next to the Shannon. Unlike the
Shannon however, the Barrow remains largely unchanged. Used for millennia
for transport, it was made navigable for larger boats in the late 1700s
and served as a working waterway until recent times.

SANTA'S SOUTH POLE
VILLAGE
at Athy Heritage Centre

Santa South Pole Village
Just a little about the Santa South Pole
Village which bring alive the festive spirit of the public and touches the
imagination of every child that enters it.
They
enter through a lighted tunnel guided by an Elf who leads them to our
Nativity Scene when the child hears the story of Christmas and gets to
make a wish at our Special Wishing Tree. They then enter our Arctic Scene,
where they name the husky and start their journey to reach the South Pole.
After their adventures they enter our village scene with treats and
sweets galore, beep the horn of Elf’s car before entering Mrs. Clause’s
house, who is busy making the reindeer dust and tell children stories.
Our naughty and nice Post Office will make sure that special letter gets
to the North Pole and then its on to see Santa and get their very special
present.
